TESTING & CLEAN UP
Providing Plant Health Diagnostics and Genetic Certification to the Agricultural Industry
HOW IT WORKS
WHAT WE DO
We are NOT BREEDERS. Genie Lab helps growers, breeders, and nurseries ensure that their crops and plants
are virus and pathogen free. We also provide genetic identification to ensure that
farmers and consumers are confident in the varieties they are growing, and consuming.

TESTING & REMOVAL
Currently, our lab provides accurate, high throughput pathogen testing on plant tissue for the agricultural and horticultural industries. We are expanding to other small fruits in the near future.
- We perform an 8-virus panel, a foliar/bud-rot panel, a foliar/stem panel, a root-rot panel, a Fusarium panel, a Pythium panel, and a biocontrol agent panel test on plant tissue to find out what is affecting your plants.
- Current turnaround time for testing samples is 3-5 business days – please contact us for an estimate
Accurately identifying the virus issues you may have allows for fast, proper remediation and clean-up
FUNGAL AND BACTERIAL IDENTIFICATION
Accurately identifying the fungal and bacterial issues you may have allows for fast, proper remediation and clean-up
HELP TO REMOVE PATHOGENS
We can remove any virus, fungal, or bacterial pathogens you may have, so you can get your clean, healthy, vigorous plants back to normal
GENETIC FINGERPRINTING OF YOUR VARIETIES
VERIFY YOUR GENETICS FOR IP PROTECTION AND DRIFT
We provide high throughput genetic identification to the agricultural and horticultural industies, with further expantion into the small berries and grapevine industry in the near future.

- Genotyping identifies a variety or group of closely related varieties (or strains) based on a piece of genetic code unique to that individual or group
Varieties can slowly change over time. The genetic markers we use have high mutation rates and serve as proxies to let a grower know when a variety might need to be re-introduced from an archived backup.
Identify where your varieties and genetics come from and who are your closest relatives
By fingerprinting your genetics, you ensure an defensible strategy for ensuring that your varieties are safe
